Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the masonry and concrete work Masoncraft Odessa Concrete and Masonry does for you. By using the site, asking for an estimate or hiring us, you agree to them, so please read them before you book.

If a written estimate or contract we both sign says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job. You can start back at the home page any time, or contact us if something here isn't clear.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in Odessa, TX, and we work on brick, block, stone, pavers and concrete for homes in Odessa and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on the about page.

The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand the work. It isn't a promise about your job, because every wall, chimney and slab is different and we won't know what yours needs until we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and come after we look at the job on site. An estimate is our best price for the work it describes, based on what we can see that day.

Some conditions only show up once the work is open, like crumbling brick behind a sound face, a weak base under old concrete or hidden damage around a chimney. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and give you the added cost in writing before we do any extra work. Nothing extra goes ahead without your OK.

An estimate holds for the time written on it. After that, material prices can change and we may need to update it.

Scheduling and cancellation

We'll give you a start date once the job is agreed and any deposit is paid. Dates can move because of weather, wind, extreme heat or cold, material delays or permit timing, since mortar and concrete need the right conditions to cure properly. If that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new date with you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (432) 280-0058 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or started work, you'll owe for those materials and the work done up to that point, as set out in your contract.

Payment terms

Your estimate or contract sets out how much is due, when it's due and how you can pay. On larger jobs that usually means a deposit before we start and the balance when the work is done.

Payment is due on the dates in your contract. If a balance goes unpaid, we may pause work, charge any late fees your contract allows, and use the remedies Texas law gives contractors to collect what's owed.

Warranties and what they don't cover

Any warranty on our work is the one written in your contract, and it covers only what the contract says. Materials such as brick, stone, pavers and sealers carry whatever warranty their maker gives, and we'll pass those along to you.

Masonry and concrete move a little with heat, drying and the ground under them, so hairline cracks and slight color changes are normal and aren't defects unless your contract says otherwise. Our warranty doesn't cover damage from shifting soil, poor drainage, tree roots, vehicles heavier than the work was built for, misuse, or repairs and changes made by someone else.

Apart from what's written in your contract, we don't make any other warranties, spoken or implied, to the extent Texas law allows.

Limits on our liability

We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind the work we do. Even so, our responsibility for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, to the extent the law allows.

We aren't responsible for indirect losses, like lost use of a space or delays caused by things outside our control. We also aren't responsible for problems that were already there before we started and that weren't part of the work you hired us for.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with something, tell us first. Call (432) 280-0058 or use the contact page, and we'll come look at it and try to make it right, because most problems get sorted out faster that way.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us can bring the matter to the state or federal courts serving Odessa, Texas.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here applies to new estimates and jobs from the day it's posted, while a job already under contract stays under the terms that applied when you signed.
